    Absentee Voting By Mail Begins for the Nov. 6, 2018 Election Absentee voting by mail begins on Sept. 22, 2018 and continues through Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018 for the Nov. 6, 2018 General Election. To request an absentee ballot, complete the Absentee Ballot Request Form found on the attached link and mail it to the Iredell County Board of Elections at 203 Stockton St. Statesville, NC 28677 or call 704-878-3140 for further information

Overview

The Board of Elections is responsible for supervising voter registration and conducting all elections held within Iredell County. Its functions include: 

  • Appointing election officials
  • Establishing election precincts
  • Hearing appeals
  • Investigating voter irregularities

The Board of Elections meets for regular scheduled meetings on the first Tuesday of each month (if there is business to conduct) at 1:15 pm at the Board of Elections Office.
